आज मैं एक civil engineer की नजर से Vastu को देखूंगा – बिना किसी blind faith के, सिर्फ scientific reasoning के साथ। यह post उन engineers, architects और homeowners के लिए है जो Vastu को समझना चाहते हैं, न कि सिर्फ follow करना।

Vastu है क्या? Basic Understanding

Vastu Shastra असल में ancient Indian architecture का science है। यह लगभग 5000 साल पुराना है और इसमें building design के principles दिए गए हैं।

1. Main Door Direction – North या East क्यों?

Vastu Rule: Main entrance north, east या northeast में होनी चाहिए।

Scientific Logic:

• Morning Sunlight: East facing door से सुबह की धूप घर में आती है जो vitamin D और positive energy के लिए अच्छी है
• Wind Direction: India में prevailing winds north-east से आती हैं, इससे natural ventilation बेहतर होता है
• Heat Reduction: South और west facing में afternoon की तेज धूप पड़ती है जो घर को गर्म करती है

एक project में client ने जिद्द की कि main door west में होगा। मैंने warning दी लेकिन वो नहीं माने। गर्मी में उनका entrance area बहुत गर्म हो जाता है और AC bill भी ज्यादा आता है। अब वो regret करते हैं।

2. Kitchen South-East में क्यों?

Vastu Rule: Kitchen हमेशा south-east corner (अग्नि कोण) में बनानी चाहिए।

• Heat Dissipation: Cooking heat afternoon में बाहर के temperature से match करती है, इससे kitchen कम गर्म लगती है
