4. 🏗️ Public Works Department (PWD)

Note: PWD generally BCD और RCD की rates का use करता है, लेकिन कुछ specialized works के लिए अलग rates भी होती हैं।

PWD के काम:

SOR का सही तरीके से Use कैसे करें?

Step 1: अपना Department Identify करें

सबसे पहले देखें कि आपका project किस category में आता है:

• Building work → BCD SOR
• Road work → RCD SOR
• Irrigation/Canal → WRD SOR

Step 2: Relevant Item Number ढूंढें

हर SOR में items का अपना code या number होता है। जैसे:

• “Excavation in ordinary soil” – Item No. 1.2.3
• “1st class brick work in CM 1:6” – Item No. 5.4.1

Step 3: Quantity Calculate करें

• Length × Width × Height (for volume)
• Length × Width (for area)
• Proper units में convert करें (cubic meter, square meter, etc.)

Step 4: Rate Apply करें

Total Cost = Quantity × SOR Rate

SOR rates में contractor का profit और overhead charges अलग से add होते हैं (usually 10-15%)

Q1: SOR कितने समय बाद update होती है?

Ans: Usually हर 2-3 साल में, लेकिन कभी-कभी inflation के हिसाब से जल्दी भी update हो सकती है।

Ans: हां बिल्कुल! SOR एक reference के तौर पर private projects में भी काम आती है।

Q3: अगर कोई Item SOR में नहीं मिले तो?

Ans: उस case में “Market Rate Analysis” या “Derived Rate” बनानी पड़ती है। Engineer के approval से new rate बना सकते हैं।

Q4: SOR में GST included होता है क्या?

Ans: नहीं, generally SOR rates में GST शामिल नहीं होता। Separately add करना पड़ता है।

Q5: Old SOR Use करने पर क्या होगा?

Ans: Estimation गलत हो जाएगी और tender में problem आ सकती है। हमेशा latest version ही use करें।
